Feb 06, 2017: Naga Hoho has asked the TR Zeliang government to step down saying it has lost the moral right to govern the people. The Hoho General Secretary Mutsikhoyo Yhobu in a condemnation letter said the action of the government and its machineries led the brutal killing of Bendangnungsang and Khriesavizo Metha besides grievously injuring many others.
Naga Hoho said it is greatly pained by the chain of unfortunate events happening in Nagaland and that the present turmoil is a consequence of the government’s unwillingness to listen to people’s voice. The Hoho said it has been consistently opposing the ULBs elections and the municipal act. Naga Hoho said various consultations were held and communiqués even to the extent of serving ultimatum to the government were left totally unheeded by the government. The Naga hoho further said it shall remain steadfast with the Naga people.
