ProMASS News Bureau: Jan 17, 2016:

mIn Bangladesh, police today recovered several time-bombs in Gazipur, around 50 kms from Dhaka. Gazipur Police Chief Mohammad Rashid told reporters that 5 time-bombs along with a remote-control device were found abandoned at Kuniyaparha, hardly 5 kms from the venue of Bishwa Ijtema, the second largest Muslim Congregation ending today. He said the bombs were fittted with clocks and probably timer-driven or remotely controlled. 2 unfinished bombs were also recovered from the site. They were recovered on a tip-off and defused immediately. Police suspect the bombs were brought for an attack on devotees during the Bishwa Ijtema, which attracts thousands of Muslim devotees from across the country to the banks of river Tongi every year.
