The second wave of COVID19 is spreading its roots so fast. As some of the states like Delhi are already facing a tough time in tackling the situation, the government here in Tripura is closely monitoring the developments and putting all necessary arrangements in place to deal with any eventuality.
Tripura MP Pratima Bhowmik also visited the GB Hospital and interacted with the doctors in view emerging situation.
Meanwhile, the state government is leaving no stone unturned on the question of maintaining availability of oxygen, an official said.

On the other hand, two important meetings on COVID19 held on Friday where the Chief Secretary and Health officials discussed important issues.
In a high-level meeting, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar reviewed various plans and preventive measures taken by the Health department to tackle any emergency.
He stressed on maintaining stock of testing kits, necessary medicines and oxygen cylinders as well as passing necessary instructions to the officials concerned for proper management.
Principal Secretary (Health)- J.K. Sinha also held another round of meeting with the District Magistrates via a video conference to discuss various important issues like setting up of COVID19 centre in district level.
In the meantime, 40 fresh positive cases have been detected in the past 24 hours taking the tally of active cases to 518.
According to the latest media bulletin, tests of total 1442 samples had been conducted—1392 in RAT and 30 in RTPCR. Among them, the reports of 40 samples came positive.
