Constitutional Day: Follow footsteps of Ambedkar, build empowered Tripura, says CM

As the State along with the nation celebrated Constitution Day on Thursday, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb urged people to follow the footsteps of Dr. B.R Ambedkar and build an empowered as well as self-reliant Tripura. He said, Prime Minister Prime Minister’s Sabka Sath, Sabka Vishwas is a reflection of Baba Saheb Ambedkar's guidance.   

 

Constitution Day has been celebrated in the state in a befitting manner at the Secretariat today.

 

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Revenue Minister Narendra Chandra Debbarma, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Transport Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Food Minister Manoj Kanti Deb, Cooperative Minister Ram Prasad Pal, Tribal Welfare Minister Mevar Kumar Jamatia and secretaries of different departments attended the programme.

 

Deb in a social media post wrote, “Read the preamble of the Constitution of India along with the Hon'ble President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind Ji via Video Conferencing.

Deputy CM Shri Jishnu Devvarman Ji, all ministers and concerned officials also participated in the mass reading of the preamble.”

 

 

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on the occasion of Constitution Day made everyone present in the programme read the preamble.

 

Chief Minister while addressing the media said, Prime Minister today in the Parliament has appealed everyone to perform their duties following the footsteps of Dr. B.R Ambedkar to strengthen the Constitution of India regardless of communal and religious difference.

 

 

He assured that the present state government will always be making efforts to strengthen every system in the Constitution and the Constitution itself.
