Corona: One dead, fresh curfew schedule announced

One more COVID19 patient died in Tripura on Saturday. The deceased was a 72-year-old patient from Kalyanpur in Khowai district. He was under treatment at GBP hospital. With this, total number of death count in the State stands at two.

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has confirmed the death case o n his social media handle. According to official sources, the patient was admitted in Covid Care Centre in GB hospital and had symptoms of COVID19.

Meanwhile, more 32 persons have been detected COVID19 positive on Saturday. Today total 1808 samples were tested and 32 persons were found Covid19 positive. Among them, 22 persons are from West Tripura district while five each from Sepahijala and Gomati districts. Four Covid19 positive persons hail from North District. Two each are from Khowai and Unakoti districts while one each from Dhalai and South Tripura districts.

In a notification undersigned by Tripura’s Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar it has been stated that fresh order for “Night Curfew” will be issued by respective District Magistrates with timings from 9 PM to 5 AM. Within the 2 KM of the indo- Bangladesh border areas, the timings of night curfew will be from 7 PM to 7 AM.

However, The order also underscores that essential activities would be allowed including operation of industrial units in multiple shifts, movement of persons and goods on state and national highways, loading and unloading of goods and travel of persons.

“The Schools, Colleges, educational & coaching institutions, Cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars, auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places will remain closed till 31st July. Social political sport events/ entertainment/ academic/ cultural/ religious functions and other large congregations will be prohibited. No permission for such gatherings will be given without prior approval of the undersigned”, the notification reads.
