IPL 2021 auction: Tripura’s own Utkarsh in KXIP team

Started his domestic cricket career as a member of Tripura’s Under 16 side, Utkarsh Singh has been selected for the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) squad of IPL 2021.


As the auction of players for IPL 2021 has ended recently, Utkarsh has been selected for the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) team based on his performances in domestic cricket. Presently, Utkarsh is playing for the Jharkhand team.


Notably, Utkarsh is a son of ADG Rajiv Singh. According to sources, Utkarsh represented Tripura in the year 2012 when his father was serving as IG law and order.


Utkarsh had also represented India in the under 19-world cup held earlier.


It is also worthy to be mentioned here that Utkarsh made his first class debut for Jharkhand in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on November 09, 2017. 


He made his List A debut for Jharkhand in the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy in the year 2018 and in the same year he scored his maiden century in first-class cricket. 


He made his Twenty20 debut for Jharkhand in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in the following year 2019.
