Abhijit Deb new chairman of TRTC

Tripura Road Transport Corporation (TRTC) has got the new Chairman on Wednesday. Abhijit Deb has been appointed as the new Chairman. Earlier Dipak Majumder was the chairman of the TRTC however, the post fell vacant after Majumder was nominated as the Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC).

 

TRTC-Chairman-Tripura-AbhijitThe Governor of Tripura reconstituted the Board of Tripura Road Transport Corporation (TRTC) through a notification on Wednesday. According to the notice, the members have been nominated for three years term. 
 

As per the notification, Abhijit Deb of Amtali, Madhyapra had been appointed as Chairman of TRTC while Samar Roy had been nominated as vice-chairman.

 

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha congratulated the newly-appointed TRTC chairman and others members.

 

Among others, Sukanta Ghosh, Usha Ranjan Ghosh and Ashok Paul had been appointed as Board of Directors. 

 

Besides Additional/ Joint Secretary to Government of Tripura, Finance Department, the Chief Claims Officer, N.F. Railway, Maligaon, Guwahati, Chief Controller of Accounts, IDA Building, Jamnagar House New Delhi will work as Director of the Board. 

 

The Managing Director of TRTC will confer the post of Director cum Secretary. Deputy Secretary to the Government of Tripura issued the notification on Wednesday by order of the Governor.

 

Aadhar card linking with Voter ID started in West Tripura

 

TRTC-Chairman-Tripura-AbhijitThe process of preparing new voter list by linking Aadhar card with Voter ID card through Form-6 according to the guidelines of the Election Commission has started in West Tripura district, said West Tripura District Magistrate Debapriya Bardhan in a press meet held at the conference hall of the West Tripura DM office on Tuesday.

 

He informed the media that in case anyone could not link their Aadhar card for any reason, then the voter name shall not be negated from the list. This step is being taken just to ensure transparent voter enrolment. All the information and identity of the voter shall be kept confidential.

 

The District Magistrate also said now the voters can easily enroll themselves four times year- on January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1 as well as get new voter ID cards. He informed that amendments have also been made in the forms related to claims and objections. New voters may apply only through amended Form-6.
