Tripura Covid Care Doctor assault case: 4 accused including Govt advocate to Jail Custody
All the accused persons in Bhagat Singh Covid care centre doctor assault case have been once again produced before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate First class after the High Court squashed the interim bail awarded to them.
As per the High Court orders, all the accused persons including government advocate Karnajit Dey were asked to surrender at NCC police station, Agartala failing of which non-bailable charges would be slapped on them. All the accused persons had surrendered at the police station and were produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate west Tripura on Thursday.

The investigating officer prayed for the TI parade and 4 days police remand. However, the Court had sent all the four accused to jail custody and the matter would once again come up for hearing on Friday.
Speaking on the issue, APP Bidyut Sutradhar said, “The accused persons have been sent to jail custody. The Court has also sought detailed reports from the investigating officer against an argument advanced by the defence. The defence has apprised the Court that identification of Karnajit Dey is already over as he has been identified by the victim when he has surrendered in the police station”.
