Young photo journalist Abhijit Raha passes away
In a tragic incident young photo Journalist Abhijit Raha died of cardiac arrest in Agartala today. He suffered a major cardiac attack at his Shyamalibazar residence. He was taken to ILS, however, doctors pronounced him ‘brought dead’. He was 34 at the time of death.
Media fraternity of the state has expressed deep mourn due to untimely death of the young journalist. Tripura Photo Journalists’ Association – Abhijit Raha was a member of this Association - has also mourned on his untimely death and described him as honest, sincere and cheerful person. Tripura Electronic Media Society has expressed deep condolence and expressed sympathy for the bereaved family.
Political leaders and public representatives also mourned the untimely death of Raha. Meanwhile, president of Pradhesh BJP Professor Dr. Manik Saha has expressed his grief due to untimely death of the young journalist. He also expressed sympathy for his family members. Tripura Pradesh Congress has expressed condolences at his unexpected death. Besides, MP Pratima Bhowmik, MLA Sudip Roy Barman, MLA Asish Saha and vice president of NSUI Samrat Roy have also condoled his untimely death and paid tributes to departed soul.
