ProMASS: Jan 11, 2017:    The attention of the Nagaland Cabinet was drawn to the Resolution of the Ao Senden signed by its President. According to a release issued by the media cell of the CMO said that the Cabinet expressed deep concern on the contents of the Resolution wherein Nuklutoshi, a Member of the Cabinet was threatened and served with a quit notice from Ao territory using un-parliamentary language like ‘so called Minister.’ It must be understood that a Minister is a duly elected Member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly and has taken oath under the Constitution of India. The contents of the Resolution do not behave like an apex tribal organization. In a separate statement, eight Ao legislators from Mokokchung district, C. Apok Jamir, Imtikumzuk, S. Chuba Longkumer, Dr. Benjongliba, Dr. Longri, Merentoshi R. Jamir, Dr. Imtiwapang and Amenba Yaden said they have utmost respect for Ao Senden and other civil society organizations and expressed shock at use of the term “so called minister,” which demeaned the status of a Minister. According to the statement, the eight legislators had ‘convened an emergency meeting at Dimapur yesterday and pointed out thatthe Minister is a duly elected member of the Nagaland Assembly, having the mandate of his electorate for tenure of five years and has taken oath of office under the constitution of India. ||
