October 22, 2017: People are increasingly becoming disillusioned about BJP as the Party has resorted to ‘undemocratic’ activities in the State. Addressing a press conference today in Agartala, CPIM State secretary Bijan Dhar stated this and added, recent violence in the State are fallout of BJP’s undemocratic activities.
Once again blaming and IPFT, Dhar alleged, as many as 11 Party Offices, since September 19, were either gutted down or ransacked. “People are not sitting ideal and fast becoming disillusioned about BJP. Recently, 1071 persons belonging to 331 families recently joined CPM quitting BJP, IPFT and other anti-Left Parties which reflects people’s resentment against BJP”, Dhar asserted. He also said, BJP has resorted to threats and intimidations sensing public rejection and this is a sign of weakness.
“BJP’s alienation from common people owing to undemocratic activities is becoming clearer. However, we have advised all the Party workers to keep a tight vigil,” Dhar said. Shifting focus on Poll campaign, Dhar said, Party will launch Padayatra in all the constituencies will be organized.
