Apr 22, 2017: A two day State Executive Council meeting of BJP has started from today at Dharmanagar, North Tripura amidst heavy pre-monsoon rains. The All India general secretary of BJP, Ram Madhav reached Dharmanagar today evening along with State observer Sunil Deodhar. Total 113 delegates across the State are participating in the meeting.
Sunil Deodhar stated, discussions will be held during the meeting to enhance organizational capacity.
Party sources said, the National Executive meet was held a week ago in Bhubenswar and it was then decided that State level meeting would be held in every State. As part of the decision, State Executive meeting is undergoing at Dharmanagar in Tripura.
Briefing on Biplab Deb’s comment, Party sources said, Deb urged delegates to meet every OBC voters and to apprise them about Modi-led Government’s decision of granting constitutional status to OBC Commission. He also appealed to highlight opposition of the Bill by Congress and CPM in the Upper House. Terming the termination of 10323 teachers as unfortunate, he said CPM betrayed with the educated youths. He alleged, the State Government has no alternative plan for these terminated teachers.
He said, BJP is commemorating birth centenary of Pandit Din Dayal Uppadhyay this year and the Party will spread his ideals among the masses. As part of observing the year, he said, “I will write to the C.M of Tripura to allow us to distribute books of Pandit Din Dayal Uppadhyay to school children so that children can know about this great son of Bharat”.
