June 24, 2017: Pertaining to a case against Rosevalley Chit Fund company, CBI to question the State Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Bijita Nath on July 29 at Agartala.
When asked about the notice, Bijita Nath said that she had received the notice and assured that she would cooperate with CBI in all possible ways. It is learnt she reportedly called the move a politically vindictive step. Commenting on the CBI notice, State Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty said it is being alleged that ruling party at Center always used CBI to protect their own interest and this time it has been reflected once again, sources said.
In a letter addressed to Bijitha Nath, Inspector of Police, CBI/EO-IV/Kolkata Bratin Ghosal wrote “…. you are hereby required to make yourself available on 29.06.2017 at 10am in your official residence located in Agartala for the purpose of answering certain questions relating to the case.
