Agartala Jan 1: The Tripura Board of Secondary Education marked a significant milestone on Thursday as it celebrated its Golden Jubilee, with Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha calling for collective efforts to further strengthen the board’s academic performance.

Inaugurating the Golden Jubilee Year Celebration Festival at Nazrul Kalakshetra in Agartala, Dr. Saha said TBSE, established in 1976, has played a vital role in shaping the state’s education system over the past five decades. He emphasized the need to draw guidance from former officials and employees to improve the board’s functioning.

Dr Saha highlighted the Tripura government’s emphasis on integrating technology with education to prepare students for real-world challenges, stating that modern learning must go beyond traditional textbooks.

The Chief Minister said educated youth are among the most valuable resources globally and stressed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision is to transform India into a global education hub. He added that the state government is implementing multiple initiatives to ensure quality and future-ready education.

Dr. Saha pointed out that smart classrooms have been introduced in schools across the state, while continuous teacher training programmes have strengthened classroom delivery. He informed that so far, 7,700 teachers have received professional training to adapt to modern teaching methods.

The Chief Minister noted that student performance in TBSE examinations has improved since the implementation of the National Education Policy and urged the board to take proactive steps to enhance results further.
