Blueprint for 2026: Vision for a ‘Future-Ready’ and Transparent State

Agartala Jan 17: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has issued a call for collective action to transform Tripura into a progressive, transparent, and future-ready state.

Speaking at the Good Governance Day event held at Prajna Bhavan in Agartala, the Chief Minister outlined a vision where development is not just a goal but a process that reaches every individual citizen.

Several high-ranking officials, including Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, Director General of Police Anurag, PCCF R.K. Samal, and Good Governance Secretary Kiran Gitte attended the event.

A Legacy of Excellence

Dr Manik Saha highlighted that Tripura’s development related efforts have not gone unnoticed on the national stage.

Over the past eight years, the state has been honored with 347 national and regional awards for its achievements in governance.

Dr. Saha credited this success to the dedicated work of government officers, district administrations, and various stakeholders who have worked to turn policy reforms into real-world results.

This track record of excellence aligns with the broader national vision of Viksit Bharat. By reaching these milestones, the state is positioning itself as a leader in administrative efficiency within the region.

Structural Reforms for Policy Makers

A key highlight for policy makers was the discussion regarding the Good Governance Department, which was officially established in August 2023. This department serves as a central anchor for all state reforms. Its primary objectives include:

* Improving coordination between different government wings to prevent delays.
* Focusing on outcome-based governance rather than just bureaucratic process.
* Ensuring that government schemes are implemented smoothly and within set timelines.

Dr. Saha noted that the department was created to ensure that the benefits of every policy actually reach the people on the ground, making the administration more accountable and citizen-focused.

Empowering the Youth and Building Trust

For the younger generation, the Chief Minister’s message was one of inclusion and modernization. He emphasized that good governance is fundamentally about improving the daily lives of citizens and strengthening the bond of trust between the people and the state.

By prioritizing transparency and effective institutions, the government aims to create an environment where young people can thrive without the hurdles of inefficient systems.

Dr Saha urged officials to renew their commitment to an administration that is responsive to the needs of its people.

Strategic Objectives for Government Implementation

To ensure these goals are met, the administration is focusing on the following priority areas:

* Accountability: Ensuring every official is responsible for the delivery of public services.
* Institutional Strength: Building departments that are resilient and efficient.
* Timely Execution: Reducing the gap between the announcement of a scheme and its actual benefit to the citizen.
* Transparency: Using clear decision-making processes to foster public confidence.
