Here is a chance to enjoy ‘SLOW Food’, an alternative to fast food of several countries. The International Indigenous Terra Madre- 2015 will start in Shillong, Meghalaya from Nov 3. The five day-long unique Event will bring over a 100 tribes from 58 countries. International representatives will come to take part in the event from 14 African countries, 17 Asian countries, 8 European countries, 12 American countries and 7 Oceanian countries.
The event is the result of a collaboration between Slow Food, the Indigenous Partnership for Agro biodiversity and Food Sovereignty (Indigenous Partnership) and the North East Slow Food and Agro biodiversity Society (NESFAS). The five-day fiesta that has not been seen, cradled through centuries and passed on from generation to generation will see these timeless flavours shared with and experimented with star chefs from all over the world. Slow Food is an international movement, promoted as an alternative to fast food and strives to preserve traditional and regional cuisine.
