In a major overhaul programme, BSNL has replaced all its old Mobile equipments in and around Agartala with sophisticated state of Art equipments with high speed Internet service. With an aim to provide umbrella coverage for high speed DATA service BSNL has upgraded its Mobile equipments in 84 Locations and added 37 nos. new Nodes in and around Agartala and major cities and towns in the state. In a press conference today at Agartala, Chief General Manager of NE-1 Telecom Circle, BSL Shillong KK Saxena stated this.
Besides Agartala, High speed mobile internet service (HSPDA) is now available in Dharmanagar, Kailasahar, Kumarghat, Ambassa, Gandachhera, Khowai, Teliamura, Bishalgarh, Bisramganj, Kathalia, Udaipur, Santirbazar and Belonia.
Saxena also briefed about BSNL plans and offers for its customers.
On the eve of DIWALI, BSNL is offering 150% Talk value for TOP UP amount of Rs. 290/390/490 through which a customer will get talk value of Rs. 435/585/835respectively. The offer is valid up to October 21. Besides that BSNL has recently launched 2 (two) Low cost Rate cutter of Rs. 9 and Rs.16/- through which a customer can avail reduced call rate of 15 paisa/min it BSNL Network and 35 paisa in other network calls.
For Landline customer BSNL has introduced two new facility/plan for its Land line customers in the name of LFMT ( Limited Fixed Mobile Telephony) and “ASEEM “.
Deatiling about LFMT and ASEEM, Saxena said, a Customer having wire line Broadband service with WIFI Modem can receive the Land phone incoming calls through his Mobile within the WIFI Coverage area free of cost through the LFMT service.
Through AEEM Plan, a customer can have a virtual Land phone number in his name which he can circulated as his number instead of his personal Mobile number. Any call coming to that virtual Land phone number will terminate to his desired mobile number for an Annual rent of Rs. 99/- (for BSNL Mobile) and Rs.199/-(for other operator Mobile Number).
