The Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance of Iran Dr. Ali Tayyebnia called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday in New Delhi. Prime Minister conveyed that India attached high importance to its relations with Iran.
PM Modi expressed readiness to further strengthen bilateral relations, including in the areas of trade, investment, oil and gas, connectivity, port development. PM Modi also recalled his fruitful meeting with President Rouhani in Ufa, on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit, in July this year. Dr. Ali Tayyebnia is in New Delhi for the bilateral Joint Commission meeting co-chaired by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
