Tripura: Cleaning unearths banned notes

Agartala, July 23, 2019: In a Swachchata drive, Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) found two bundles of banned Rs 1000 notes. Sources said, AMC staffs were conducting cleaning at Maharaj Ganj Bazaar – the hub of wholesale and retail selling. During cleaning, AMC staffs found two bundles of banned notes.

It is obvious that some unscrupulous businessman dumped these bundles in heap of garbage due to demonetization rather than depositing those in banks within prescribed time.
