Agartala, August 06, 2019: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb expressed deep shock at demise of former Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj at AIIMS, New Delhi today late evening.
In a FaceBook post Deb said,
“Extremely tragic and sad news !
One of tallest woman leaders of Indian Politics with unmatched oratory skills and humble background, @SushmaSwaraj ji is no more.
Deepest condolences to her family and followers.
May her soul Rest in Peace.

He also tweeted:
In another message Tripura MP Pratima Bhoumik tweeted,
Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma also condoled death of Sushma Swaraj. In a Facebook post he said,
“Greatly saddened by the passing away of #SushmaSwaraj ji. A towering personality. She was a great leader and an outstanding minister. It is the end of an era in Indian politics.
Our prayers for her family and our homage to the great soul.”
Among others, Social welfare Minister Santana Chakma, Chief Whip of Tripura Assembly Kalyani Roy also condoled the death of the leader and expressed deep shock.
