Agartala, Aug 24: Governor of Tripura, Ramesh Bais has condoled demise of former Union Minister Arun Jaitley. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has also expressed deep sorrow and grief over death of former Union Minister Arun Jaitley.
In a message, the Governor said that Arun Jaitley was an outstanding Parliamentarian, legal luminary, an orator par excellence, a towering intellectual, an able administrator and symbol of perfect integrity. Bais said that he had worked with Arun Jaitley for a long time and got opportunity to know about the departed leader. The Governor said, “Arun Jaitley shouldered responsibilities of Defence Ministry, Finance Ministry and Law Minister with impeccable efficiency and vision. His death is an irreparable national and personal loss’. Bais extended deep sympathy to bereaved family members of Arun Jaitley.
In his condolence message, Biplab Kumar Deb said, “With Arun Jaitley ji’s sudden demise a glorious chapter in Indian politics comes to an end. Jaitley ji played key roles in both Government and Party. His mastery was to keep the party’s view in the public. His demise is a personal loss to me.”
Deb said, Arun Jaitley was a wise and accomplished politician. Jaitley was involved in political activities since his student life. He was an eminent and established himself as a lawyer. During his political career, he shouldered responsibilities of several important posts with sincerity. Arun Jaitley ushered new dawn in Indian economy during his stint as the Union Finance Minister. “His death is an irreparable loss for national politics’, Deb said and extended his sympathy to family members of the departed leader.
