BJP’s ally in Tripura IPFT calls bandh against CAB in TTAADC area. IPFT is also demanding separate Tipraland – state for indigenous people of Tripura

Agartala, December 07, 2019: Ruling BJP’s ally in Tripura, IPFT has scaled up ante against the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) and has called a dawn-to-dusk Bandh in TTAADC area on December 9 next protesting against Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), demanding separate land for indigenous people of Tripura – Tipraland. In a press statement, IPFT’s Assistant general secretary Mangal Debbarma said this today.
Notably, several parties and organizations in North East are protesting against CAB. The protests are coming up even though it is likely that there will No CAB in three North East states, partially in other three including Tripura
Debbarma said, “On demand of Tipraland and in protest against CAB, IPFT and its allied organizations called a Bandh on December 9 from 6am to 6pm all over the areas of TTAADC in Tripura State”.
Notably, IPFT activists recently held demonstration at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on December 2 last and sit-in demonstrations were held across State demanding ‘Tipraland’, protesting CAB, introduction of NRC all over India and inclusion of Kokborok in 8th Schedule in Roman script.
