The state has witnessed several initiatives after formation of the new government. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb is leading the mission to make a difference.
In continuation of his endeavour, the Chief Minister has now underlined the need to create a Land Bank for identifying the unused government lands in the city and urban areas.
In this context, the Chief Minister has passed an instruction to the Revenue department. The instruction came during a review meeting of the Revenue department at civil secretariat on Monday.
Once created, the proposed Land Bank would help the government get lands for various development projects and also make the process of evacuating illegally occupied lands easier.
In the review meeting, the Chief Minister has also asked the officials of Revenue department to start work for identifying the land for centralization of offices of various departments at Belonia. He feels, of the government offices are centralized at one place, it would enable the common people to get the services in a hassle free manner.
The Chief Minister also instructed the concerned department for timely completion of the process for data entry record updatation of patta holders and land identification. If the works are completed in time, it would be a remarkable achievement for the state, he told the meeting. Meanwhile, he also laid emphasize on speedy completion of amendment of Tripura Land Revenue and Land Reforms Act.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister then laid stress on utilizing the motor boats, commonly used for rescue operations during flood situation, in various tourist locations like Dumboor, Chabimura and Neer Mahal.
Taking part in the review meeting, Revenue minister N.C. Debbarma laid importance on more active role of the District Magistrate in implementing welfare schemes in various bordering areas.
Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar, Secretary of Coordination and Planning- Apurba Roy, Secretary to Revenue department- Tanushree Debbarma, special secretary to Chief Minister- Prasanta Kumar Goel and other high officials were present in the meeting.
