Tripura BJP Central Observer (Prabhari) Vinod Sonkar would be arriving here in the state on his second visit after taking charge of the State on Wednesday. His visit will continue for next three days. Party sources said, during the visit, Sonkar will hold several election related and organizational meetings at several parts of the state.
In view of upcoming Autonomous Council Polls and elections to civic Urban bodies, Sonkar is will hold meetings to understand the ground realities.
Political observers also believe, Sonkar’s this visit assumes great significance amidst the high-pitch political developments within the party. Leader belonging to dissenting group are expecting some positive moves from the Central leadership.
According to the tour programme of Sonkar, the BJP leader would first attend a meeting with the urban local body election committee of the party along with office bearers followed by lunch at the state guesthouse.
Later he would leave for his scheduled meeting at Gomati district where he would be attending three meetings – district organizational meeting and Mondal organizational meeting at Matabari and another meeting at Bagma the next morning.
The central observer would leave for Pilak (South Tripura district) after a night stay at Matabari. At Pilak, he would attend two meetings – one at Belonia and the other one at Santirbazar respectively. He would stay there for the night and on the next day, he would return to Agartala to attend a meeting with the election committee of TTAADC polls before his departure.
Both the General Secretaries of the Pradesh BJP had been entrusted with the job to arrange all his programmes.
Sources in the party said, all the meetings that are going to be held in next few days are very crucial in nature since the party needs a rejuvenated beginning of the political activities after facing serious impediments posed by the Covid 19.
