The Government of Tripura has decided to recruit stenographers as well as create posts under the Urban Department.
Addressing a press meet while briefing the Cabinet decisions on Tuesday, Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said Council of Ministers has agreed that 50 stenographers will be recruited under the General Administration (Personnel and Training) Department. The Minister also pointed out that the recruitment process for this post will be completed in future through Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC).
To this end, Chowdhury said, there are a total of 396 posts for the stenographers. However, only 68 posts are being occupied while 47 candidates who were selected already are yet to join. At present, 281 posts are lying vacant and Government has decided to recruit 50 candidates as the stenographers, the Minister said. The recruitment will be completed through the TPSC.
Apart from recruitment of stenographers, the State Cabinet has also agreed to create posts for recruitment. Sushanta Chowdhury said, 15 posts have been created for recruitment in five categories under the Directorate of the Urban Development Department.
These created posts are Office Superintendent (1 post), Head Clerk (1 post), Upper Division Clerk (7 posts), Joint Junior Resource Assistant (4 posts) and Resource Assistant (2 posts) respectively.
The decision will be taken for recruitment in these posts by the relevant department later on.
The ICA Minister while briefing the cabinet decision also presented the Covid related information. He said, the positivity rate has come down to 0.29 percent while the same in the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) is 0.15 percent. Cumulative total of1st and 2nd doses of the Covid vaccines is 50 lakh 91 thousand 167.
