At last, after waiting for almost a year, Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress (TMC) has got its State party office in Agartala.

The party was running its political activities from a makeshift ‘Camp Office’ at the house of incumbent State president of the Party Subal Bhowmik.

On Monday, formally TMC State party office was inaugurated in Agartala by hoisting party flag in presence of West Bengal Law Minister Maloy Ghatak, TMC MP Sushmita Dev, Tripura in-charge Rajib Banerjee, Tripura State TMC president Subal Bhowmik, Youth TMC leader of Bengal Sayani Ghosh and others.

Rajib Banerjee reiterated the party has accorded a lot of importance to Tripura organization and TMC will fight ‘until democracy is restored’ here, ‘until people of Tripura like Bengal people enjoy various developmental initiatives.

Trinamool Congress youth wing president, Sayoni Ghosh while addressing the reporters alleged TMC leaders have to face lots of obstruction in private conversations that cannot be done sitting at private hotels. And so the party office has been set up in the capital city. Sayoni further added, All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee may soon visit Tripura to start a membership drive.

Commenting on the inauguration of the party office, TMC leaders claimed, Tripura is ready for the change – Parivartan.

“A new beginning is on the horizon”, said the party leaders and added, the inauguration of the party office is another step taken by the Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress to bring about reformist Parivartan in Tripura.

Sushmita Deb also highlighted the party’s resolve to continue its fight from the ‘ground’ in Tripura.

“Our leaders – Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee – directed us to stay on the ground and to fight from the ground for the political and socio-economical benefits of the people of Tripura”, Deb commented.

Exuding confidence, Subal Bhowmik claimed a political ambience, in favour of TMC, is building up every day in Tripura.

“The Bengal government of Maa-Mati-Manush is our ideal. We will contest in 2023 Assembly polls highlighting this model. We are already fighting and working to create more favourable and strong ambience in support of the TMC so that we can free the people of Tripura from the clutches of the incumbent government.
