Two such young scientists, Madhurima Das and Sakil Saha, recently won the National-level Inspire Award-Mank for their innovative ideas in science. Das and Saha paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr. Manik Saha at the State secretariat in Agartala on Tuesday, accompanied by Director of Higher Education N.C. Sharma.
After meeting the budding scientists, Dr Saha wrote on social media, “Happy to see that our students are making Tripura proud at the national level with their innovative ideas. Madhurima Das, a student of Shishu Bihar HS School, & Sakil Saha, a student of Jagatpur Madhyamik School, have received ‘INSPIRE Award- Manak’ in a national-level competition for their innovations in Science. Greeted the two achievers at my office chamber in the Secretariat today”.
Madhurima and Sakil’s achievement highlights the importance of encouraging and nurturing young talent in the field of science and technology. The Chief Minister’s warm welcome and congratulatory words reflect the recognition of their potential as budding scientists. It is essential to provide such young minds with the necessary resources and support to cultivate their talents and ideas.
Besides, a student from Bir Bikram College who got selected for National Cadet Corps Office Training Academy, NCC Partha Pratim Chatterjee, paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Saha in the presence of Colonel Raj Manna and other NCC officers. The Chief Minister praised the role of NCC in shaping the youth of the country and instilling patriotism and discipline in them.
Dr Saha tweeted, “Partha Pratim Bhattacharjee, NCC Cadet from Tripura who got recommended by the Services Selection Board(SSB) to become an Officer in the Indian Army. He paid a courtesy visit to my office chamber today. Conveyed my good wishes to him as he will soon join the prestigious Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai for his training to join the Indian Army.”
