People of Tripura have transcended from an atmosphere of atheism to faith and spirituality which uplift our minds and instill a sense of positivity, said Chief Minister of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha after laying the foundation stone for the Sri Sri Radhamdanmohan Jiu Mandir at the Grandiose Club in Agartala on Thursday (June 1).

The temple, conducted by the Nikhil Tripura Sri Sri Haribhakti Pracharini Sabha, marks a significant shift towards faith and spirituality in the state, the Chief Minister asserted.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Saha highlighted the transformation occurring in Tripura, where an atmosphere of atheism once prevailed. He expressed his joy at witnessing the people of the state embracing a positive shift toward faith and spirituality.

“In the past, our busy schedules often prevented us from visiting the temple regularly. However, now that we have the opportunity to visit, the experience is bound to be transformative,” he said.

This initiative aims to provide essential healthcare services to the community while promoting spiritual well-being.

Acknowledging the challenges of drug abuse in Tripura, Dr. Saha emphasized the importance of actively monitoring the activities of children and guiding them toward spiritual enlightenment.

He encouraged parents to ensure that their children listen to the enlightening mantras and spiritual discourses imparted within the temple, as it can help them navigate the pitfalls that lie ahead.

Highlighting the significance of faith in personal and societal development, the Chief Minister stated, “It is important to acknowledge that nothing is possible without God.

India, with its rich heritage, has faced the consequences of British colonization, resulting in the loss of numerous invaluable treasures. To reconnect with our cultural roots, we observe International Yoga Day on June 21st.”

Dr. Saha elaborated on the transformative power of yoga, stating that it is more than just exercise; it is a pathway for individuals to explore their true selves and unlock their limitless potential. By embracing faith, spirituality, and the practice of yoga, he believes that Tripura can collectively strive toward personal growth, national progress, and global harmony.

As the ceremony concluded, attendees expressed their gratitude for the Chief Minister’s support in fostering an environment that encourages spiritual growth and cultivates a sense of unity among the people of Tripura.
