Debashish Rai’s world-class goal secured victory for Egiye Chalo Sangha against Town club. The victory propelled Egiye Chalo Sangha club to advance to the Super Four stage as the first team.
With the score tied at 1-1 and only 15 minutes remaining in the match against the Town Club, Rai received a long ball from Satyam inside the box.
With a 360 degree turn, Rai unleashed a powerful shot with his right foot that flew past Town Club goalkeeper Mocha Singh and rattled the net.
This put Egiye Chalo Sangha ahead 2-1. With this win, they not only secured three valuable points but also became the first team to book their spot in the Super Four.
Egiye Chalo Sangha now tops the table with 18 points from 7 matches. The Town Club had started the match strongly, scoring in the 12th minute through Boyar’s powerful strike from outside the box. The team able to maintain the lead in the first half.
However, Egiye Chalo Sangha fought back and equalized in the second half through Satyam Singh making it 1-1. Soon after conceding a goal, Town Club’s players seemed to lose their momentum, allowing Egiye Chalo Sangha to dominate the game.
