Popular playback singer Shreya Ghosal who will perform in Swami Vivekananda maidan in Agartala on December 14 as part of the Tripura tourism Promo Fest-2024, shared a little secret about her favourite home-made palatable dish that she craves the moment she returns home from the dazzling world of entertainment.
Not just about her comfort food, the versatile singer also shared her vintage look for the new music video Ujaan that earned accolades from her fans.
In a candid and heartwarming Instagram video, Shreya revealed her ultimate go-to comfort food after returning from gruelling tours. It is none other than the humble dish—Masoor dal, Bhaat, and Aloo Seddho Makha —that melts her heart. It’s a dish like a hug on a plate!
“I love all Bengali food. But for me, the comfort food, after returning home after many days of a tour, is the simple Masoor Dal with panch phoran, rice and aloo seddho with ghee and a little bit of chili, etc. That for me is the most favourite home comfort Bengali food”, she said in the video.
It may be noted, Masoor dal is a nutritional powerhouse, rich in protein, fiber, and essential vitamins which ensure several health benefits.
Masoor dal is a good source of iron, which helps increase hemoglobin levels, making it especially beneficial for women and growing children.
Besides its food value, Masoor Dal is said to be effective for healthy skin care.
Shifting focus from her comfort food, a look at her recent music video revelled her stylish grace that stole the hearts of her fans across the globe.
Shreya Ghosal recently recreated a timeless vintage Bengali look for her song Ujaan from Bhoomi 2024.
For the Ujaan song, wrapped in a red saree and matching red blouse adorned with white embroidered floral patterns and intricate frills, Shreya looked like a blend of tradition and grace. The jewelry including a necklace with intricate designs, jhumka-style earrings, and a phonta on her forehead perfectly recreated a vintage look that Shreya carried with a stunning grace.
About her looks, Shreya wrote on Facebook, “Was pure joy to do a vintage Bengali look for the video of our new song Ujaan from Bhoomi2024. From the saree, blouse, drape, jewellery to hair makeup we went as close to the referencing of the vintage looks. Special thanks to my dear khushboo_gugle for drawing the traditional kolka design on my forehead”.
So long, music lovers enjoyed her recorded songs – for the first time Shreya Ghosal with all her charming grace and sweet voice is set to perform at the Swami Vivekananda Maidan on December 14.
