ProMASS: DEC16, 2016: In Manipur, four police personnel were killed and four others injured in two incidents of militant ambush yesterday in Manipur. The first attack took place at around seven in the morning at a place under Tengoupal Police Station along the Imphal-Moreh National Highway. Two Manipur police personnel were killed on the spot and another injured personnel succumbed to his injuries later. An hour later, one Manipur Police Commando was killed in another ambush at Bongjang under Pallel Police Station along the same National Highway. Sources said, militants suspected to be cadres of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (IM) carried the ambush over one Road Opening Party of Manipur Police along the Lokchao-Khongkhang road. The team was on duty in connection with the VVIP visit to Tengnoupal Dirstrict to inaugurate a function yesterday by Chief Minister, Okram Ibobi Singh.
