ProMASS: Dec 27, 2016: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for appreciating the work of the Assam government on cashless transaction. The Prime Minister, in his recent Mann ki Baat programme, appreciated the works of the Assam government. Mr.Sonowal said that the words of the Prime Minister encouraged the people of Assam to carry forward the good works. He said that the state government and people as a whole are determined to work to the optimal to achieve the objective of digital banking. The Assam government has recently announced various incentives to encourage digital transaction. Besides this, district administrations and banks have also considered awareness initiatives on digital banking.
