ProMASS: Dec 29, 2016: In Nagaland, two persons were injured, and three vehicles damaged in a blast caused by IED, at Dimapur. According to Dimapur police. Both the injured were reported to be nearby where the blast took place. Police informed that in the process three vehicles were damaged by the impact of the blast. AIR Correspondent quoting PRO Dimapur Police said that the blast occurred at about 6:45 pm yesterday evening near the New Dhansiri Bridge, Dimapur. Saying that investigation is still on, the police could not confirm the details of the blast. It said the detailed account of the investigation will be provided later.
Considering on the assurance of the Government of Manipur and the request of the Government of India, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has temporarily suspended its total blockade on all Manipur-bound vehicles for the time being. AIR correspondent quoting a statement says, NSF president Subenthung Kithan and assistant general secretary Kesosul Christopher Ltu said the decision to suspend the blockade was taken in view of the communique received from the Manipur chief secretary through the office of the Nagaland chief secretary. He said the statement has provided assurance to provide for the safety and security of the Nagas in Manipur and considering the repeated requests and appeal from the Government of India through RN Ravi, the interlocutor for Indo-Naga peace talks to lift the total blockade.
