ProMASS: Jan 06, 2017: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said, government alone can not enforce de-addiction in society. Speaking in Bihar, Mr. Modi appealed to people as well as political parties to come together on a single platform for success of this pious endeavor.
The Prime Minister along with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, attended a function at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on the occasion of Prakash Parv celebrations. Mr. Modi congratulated Mr Kumar for going ahead with prohibition of liquor despite objections from all quarters. He said the move can save coming generations.
Mr Modi thanked the Chief Minister, the Bihar government and the people of the state for organising the event to celebrate 350th birth anniversary of Sikh Guru Gobind Singh. It was Mr Modi’s first visit to the state after demonetisation.
