Narada sting case: CBI registers preliminary enquiry

Mar 21, 2017:  CBI has registered a preliminary enquiry in the Narada sting tapes case in which several Trinamool Congress leaders were allegedly caught on camera taking money. The enquiry has been registered following the directions of a division bench of the Calcutta High Court. The bench had, on Friday, directed the CBI to register the preliminary enquiry and submit its report before the court. The Narada sting tapes came to the fore last year before the Assembly elections in West Bengal.
