Apr 17,2017: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a Multispeciality Hospital at Katargam in Surat this morning. Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister appreciated the spirit of donors to provide the best health services to the common people. He said, that health and medical services are still costly and difficult for the poor people in remote areas.
Mr Modi said, however, the government has taken steps so that poor and middle class people can get cheap generic medicines and costly heart treatment at affordable rates. Prime Minister also emphasised on the need of preventive steps including cleanliness to improve the health of the people.
In his address, Mr Modi also mentioned that his forth coming visit to Israel will benefit the Diamond industries off Surat.
Prime Minister also inaugurated a diamond polishisng and processing unit at Hira Bourse Special Economic Zone at Ichhapore in Surat district. He addressed a public gathering there in his native language, Gujarati.
The Prime Minister later in the day will also go to Bajipura village in Tapi district to inaugurate a cattle feed plant and ice-cream plant of Sumul Dairy, and lay foundation stone for dairy products plant at Nava Pardi.
He will also address a large gathering there. Mr. Modi will then visit Silvassa town in Dadra and Nagar Haveli, where he will address a gathering apart from inaugurating a few projects.
The Prime Minister in Saurashtra will inaugurate phase-1 of the ambitious Saurashtra Narmada Avtaran Irrigation project for Botad and surrounding districts and also lay foundation stone for the phase-2.
