May 22, 2017: Indian women’s cricket team have clinched Quadrangular Series beating South Africa by eight wickets. The 4-nation series was held at South Africa.
Veterans Jhulan Goswami and Mithali Raj combined to help India in scripting victory. In the match against South Africa, Goswami, the record holder for most wickets in women’s ODIs, and Poonam Yadav, the legspinner, picked up three wickets apiece, as South Africa, after being put in to bat, were bundle out for 156 in 40.2 overs. Mithali Raj then struck her sixth successive fifty and India reached home losing only two wickets.
