May 25, 2017: Income Tax Department has summoned RJD Chief Lalu Prasad’s MP daughter Misa Bharti and her husband in a benami land deal and tax evasion case.
Officials said the department has asked Ms Bharti, and her husband to appear before the investigating officer in the first week of next month.
Recently, the IT Department had conducted raids at 22 locations in Delhi and adjoining areas on charges of benami deals linked to Lalu Prasad and his family members.
The couple are alleged to have links with a firm which is suspected to have entered into benami deals for purchase of a farm house in Delhi’s Bijwasan area.
Yesterday, Enforcement Directorate had arrested Misa Bharti’s chartered accountant in eight thousand crore rupees money trail scam. (AIR News)
