June 12, 2017:   Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is now chairing a meeting of heads of Public Sector Banks called to discuss the issue of non-performing assets, NPAs.

The Minister is also reviewing the financial performance of all the public sector banks. The meeting is also discussing the steps being taken by the banks to expedite the recovery of bad loans which have crossed six lakh crore rupees.
