June 16, 2017: Facebook has said that it will use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to prevent the posting of problematic content. Facebook officials said in a blog post that the company uses AI to find and remove terrorist content immediately, before users see it.
Company officials say AI image-matching technology will block photos and videos of suspected terrorists. The technology will also flag text that may advocate terrorism and prevent its uploading.
The company’s announcement comes as it faces growing pressure from government leaders to identify and prevent the spread of content from terrorist groups on its massive social network. The move is aimed at preventing videos of crimes and other inappropriate content from being streamed. (AIR NEWS)
