June 26,2017: International Day against Drug abuse and illicit trafficking was celebrated by 195 Bn BSF today by organizing a bicycle rally. Every year, June 26 is observed as International Day against Drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
The awareness rally started from BOP ACP after travelling through border road the bicycle rally was culminated at BOP Mohanpur. A large number of BSF Jawans & Officers joined the awareness rally and displayed banners and pamphlets at different places regarding drug abuse and illicit trafficking with great enthusiasm. During rally awareness was made regarding drug abuse and illicit trafficking in nearby schools and bordering villages of area.
Timira Kanta Mandhata Commandant of 195 Bn BSF flagged off the rally in presence of other unit personnel. In a message, he said, “A large number of youths are getting addicted to different contraband items and engaged in various anti-social activities. The awareness rally will definitely play a vital role to make a drug free society.
