August 31, 2017: A five storey building collapsed in densely populated Pakmodia street near JJ road in South Mumbai today.Four people have been killed and 13 have been rescued so far.
Many others are feared to be trapped under the rubble. The rescued people have been admitted to nearby J J Hospital.
The disaster management cell of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) received a call at 8.40 am about the collapse and 10 fire engines immediately rushed to site.
Locals have also come forward to help.
A 45-member team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is carrying out the rescue operation with the help of Fire services personnel. (AIR NEWS)
