In an attempt to expand health care facilities, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb inaugurated Health Sub-Center in every ward of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) in Agartala on Friday. He also inaugurated four other schemes of the Health Department today.
Speaking on the occasion, Deb said, Health care services, education, and infrastructural development form the basis of preparation of developmental indices of a State. Tripura is striding forward in all of these sectors. People of all strata of the State are getting the benefits.
Apart from Health sub Center in every AMC ward, four other schemes that he inaugurated was Mukhyamantri Mission Dristi, smartphone distribution among ASHA workers, Anmol tablet distribution among ANM workers and Kishori Suchita Abhiyan.
In his inaugural speech, the Chief Minister said the Government working to take the State ahead in every sector like Health, Industry, Education and transport-communication. He also said, The Prime Minister promised to make Tripura a ‘HIRA’ State – however, the State Government, working in line with the Prime Minister’s vision, have made the State a HIRA Plus within three years after assuming power.
He also pointed out that Tripura had become a top-ranking State among the small State category in eradicating TB and Tripura ranked first among the NE State in implementing Ayushman Scheme.
In this connection, the Chief Minister also dwelt on State Government’s success in Drinking water and Sanitation, Housing scheme etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Principle Secretary of Health department Jitendra Kumar Sinha said March 12 is a historic day for residents of Agartala as from today’s health sub-center in every ward under AMC. The Health the department is committed to taking health care services to the last person of a society.
Among others, Mission Director, NHM Dr Siddhartha Shiv Jaswal was also present in programme and said that the Health sub-center in AMC Wards would benefit people as they would get medical care near their locality.
