July 25, 2018: Eruption of ‘Old Faithful’ high like a fountain, deep blue-coloured lake of boiling water of ‘Grand Prismatic’, Canyons and rivers with starling beauty captured. American Bisons and Grizzly Bears seem to be singing paean to mother nature standing amidst jaw dropping wonders. Yellowstone National Park of USA is holding all these wonders for nature’s lovers.
An avid photographer and an IAS officer, presently working as Principal Secretary, Finance under Government of Tripura, M Nagaraju captured splendour of the Park.
Giving an opportunity to people of the State to embrace the beauty of the distant land in USA, Nagaraju will hold a three-day long exhibition titled ‘From an Amateur Lens: Early Summer at Yellowstone National Park’. The exhibition will commence from July 27 and will continue till July 29, 2018.
Nagaraju, a 1993 batch IAS who had started his career in Tripura as SDO Kamalpur and then held several important bureaucratic positions as District Magistrate of the then South Tripura and West Tripura captured natural wonders while he was on deputation in the USA.
Taking a break from routine professional chores, M. Nagaraju explored delicateness of nature and clicked photographs to ‘Embrace the moment’ for ever. His photography demonstrates contrasting features of mother nature – sustaining life and potentially to destroy the creation.
“Old Faithful’ is a famous cone geyser. Since 2000, it has been erupting regularly while Grand Prismatic is part of a several small- and medium-sized springs in the area.
The Yellowstone National Park consists of geothermal area comprising volcanoes and hot springs, the canyons and rivers, lakes and forests. The exhibition will give an opportunity to have a glimpse of all of these.
The Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma will attend the inauguratiion as the Chief Guest and Justice of High Court of Tripura Arindam Lodh will remain present as the Special Guest.
