Festivals play a vital role in fostering spiritual connections among people. Fests provide an opportunity for us to better understand one another, appreciating both our strengths and weaknesses. This mutual understanding paves the way for harmonious coexistence, which is essential for building a stronger Tripura and a greater India, said Chief Minister of Tripura Professor Dr. Manik Saha.
Addressing the ‘Tripura Utsav‘ organized by Satsang Tripura on the 137th birth anniversary of Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra at Maloynagar near Agartala on Sunday, Dr. Saha shared his thoughts and made the statement.
The event, held at the Housing Board ground near the Amtali-Khayerpur bypass on Sunday, saw an overwhelming turnout.
Speaking at the religious gathering, Dr. Saha remarked, “We have come together today to celebrate the 137th birth anniversary of the profoundly loving Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra.
This grand event, aptly named Tripura Utsav, has drawn nearly a lakh participants from all parts of Tripura. It is heartening to see people from all faiths united here.”
The Chief Minister reflected on the preparations for the festival, saying, “When the organizers approached me about the arrangements, we discussed accommodations and provisions for such a large number of attendees. As a humble servant of the people, I extended my support, though all the credit for the hard work belongs to the organizers. The Satsang Tripura State Committee consistently organizes events like this, but this year’s scale is truly remarkable. For this, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to them.”
Concluding his address, Dr. Saha prayed for the well-being of all devotees and emphasized the deeper purpose of such festivals. “Through events like these, spiritual bonds are strengthened, fostering understanding and unity among people. It is only through these shared experiences that we can come closer as a community and work towards collective progress,” he said.
The Tripura Utsav included various activities such as mass prayers, devotional singing, spiritual discourses, and community service initiatives. The highlight was the homage paid to Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra, whose teachings of love, harmony, and devotion continue to inspire millions.
Devotees described the experience as deeply transformative, with many expressing their gratitude for being part of such a spiritually uplifting event. “Being in this lively and divine atmosphere is truly a blessing. The energy here is palpable, and the message of Sri Sri Thakur resonates with every heart present,” shared a participant.
