4th Anniv of Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres: Tripura NHM to hold weeklong programmes

Along with the rest of the country, the National Health Mission of Tripura unit announced a slew of health programmes. The programmes will start from April 16 and continue till April 22. The programme by the NHM, Tripura will be held as part nationwide health fair under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav as declared by the Union Health Ministry to mark the 4th anniversary of Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres.

 

Addressing a press conference here at Agartala on Wednesday, the member secretary of the State Health & Family Welfare Society said that healthcare services would be provided to the people across the state through the digital platform of teleconsultation in “e-Sanjeevani” portal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the portal throughout the country on April 16.

 

Announcing the week-long programmes, Dr. Reang said that yoga sessions will be organised in all the Health & Wellness Centres (HWC)s of the state on April 17 aiming to yoga among the masses so that everyone benefits from this. The sessions will commence from 9 am in the morning and will last till 10 am, he told reporters.

 

He also informed that ‘health melas’ will be organised from April 18 to April 22 in all the 58 blocks of the state aiming to render health services to the common citizens of the state.

 

Highlighting the key services to be provided at the health melas, Dr Reang said the mela will include the issuance of Ayushman Bharat (AB) health ID, Ayushman Bharat Card, teleconsultation, testing and treatment of non-communicable diseases and others.
