Kung fu players from Tripura excelled at the 6th National Martial Arts held in Guwahati from December 27 to 29. The state athletes clinched an impressive total of 39 medals, with 16 of those being gold.
The event was organized by Global International Martial Arts Federation (GIMAF). The officials of the state organization are pleased with the success of the athletes.
In the event, the gold medals for Tripura were won by Avianshi Majumdar, Bibhuti Paul, Boksa Debbarma (two), Jack Debbarma, Chandamita Ray, Swarupa Shil (two), Ambika Debbarma, Priyush Sutradhar, Bhargavi Dashgupta, Pritam Shil, Alan Lepcha, Raj Ray, and Hrishi Debbarma.
Silver medals were secured by Bhargavi Dashgupta, Pritam Sri (two), Arghyajyoti Banik, Rex Debbarma, Alba Debbarma, Chandramita Ray, Prince Das, Sridha Chakraborty, Hrishi Debbarma, Swarupa Shil, and Avianshi Majumdar.
Bronze medals were won by Avianshi Majumdar, Swarupa Shil, Pritam Shil, Rex Debbarma, Boksa Debbarma, Alan Lepcha, Raj Ray, Chandamita Ray, and Arghyajyoti Banik.
Rajesh Debbarma, the Secretary of the State Organization, announced this news and extended his congratulations to all the medal-winning athletes.
