The 2024 Lok Sabha election is a big challenge for the people in terms of protecting the constitution and democracy. Therefore, everyone should come together to exercise their voting right. Otherwise, one-man dictatorship will, once again, come to power for the next five years. People of Tripura have protested many times. It is these protesting people who are silently supporting the INDIA Bloc candidates and blessing them, said Ashish Saha.
A joint election campaign in support of INDIA Bloc candidate Ashish Saha was organized by the CPIM and Congress at Melaghar under the Sepahijala district on Tuesday. Addressing the gathering, Saha along with CPIM leaders Manik Dey, Bhanu Lal Saha and others urged people to be united against the saffron party and vote for the INDIA bloc candidates.
Taking swipe at BJP’s ‘Sab ka Saath, Sab ka Vikas’ slogan, Ashish Saha alleged that ‘development’ had become meaningless and deceptive. In the last 10 years, the people of this country and state did not achieve anything real.
Continuing his verbal tirade, Saha criticized the BJP and said for the past ten years, this government has always favored corporations, selling off the country's assets to corporate entities. The people of the country trusted this party and brought them to power in Delhi. But they have completely betrayed the interests of the people.
Turning his attention to political landscape of Tripura, Ashish Saha came down heavily on Pradyot Kishore Debbarma for forging alliance with the BJP. He accused Debbarma of feeding his family interests over the welfare of the Janajati people of the State. Saha alleged Janajati and minority people have been ruined during the present dispensation.
He mocked at BJP’s claim that BJP would win over 400 LS seats including two seats in Tripura and asserted that the ground realities were different. The INDIA Bloc leaders urged people to be united against the BJP and save the country.
