Bio Village 2 to lend huge strength to climate change campaign, PM refers Tripura example in Mann ki Baat

Bio-Village 2 is going to lend a lot of strength to the campaign against climate change. Some villages of Tripura have also set very good examples, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (October 30).

You must have heard about Bio-Village, but some villages of Tripura have ascended to the level of Bio-Village 2. Bio-Village 2 emphasizes how to minimize the damage caused by natural disasters". 

 

He continued and said, "In this, full attention is given to improve the quality of life of the people through various measures. There is complete focus on Solar Energy, Biogas, Bee Keeping and Bio Fertilizers. Overall, Bio-Village 2 is going to lend a lot of strength to the campaign against climate change. I am very happy to see the increasing enthusiasm for environmental protection in different parts of the country". 

 

In this connection, Modi also said, A few days ago, in India, Mission Life dedicated to protect the environment has also been launched. The simple principle of Mission Life is - Promote such a lifestyle, which does not harm the environment. I urge you to also know Mission Life and try to adopt it.

 

Reacting to reference of Bio Village 2.0 in Mann ki Baat program, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said, "As the people of Tripura, we are proud of the highly commendable speech that the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji gave to the countrymen today in the 94th episode of 'Mann Ki Baat', and mentioned about the successful implementation of the 'Bio Village 2' project in Tripura. I believe that the Prime Minister's laudatory speech on the developmental work of the state will guide us in a new direction".

Thanked the Prime Minister for recognition of 'pioneering' Bio Village 2.0 in his Mann Ki Baat. Dev Varma also congratulated all the persons in the project.

 

He also referred to the Prime Minister's interaction with the beneficiaries Sarkhi para under Mungiyakami block in Tripura where TREDA (under the Power Dept) set up a micro solar grid to provide lights to this village after 80 years since its inception. 

 

With the encouragement of the Prime Minister, we are taking the work forward - Lighting up lives, Dev Varma commented.
