Building a strong India was dream of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, says Tripura CM

Iron man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s dream was to build a strong, sensitive and aware India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of One India, Best India is inspired by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s dream, said Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha in pledging, march past and band show organized by the Police department on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas at Manoranjan Debbarma Memorial Stadium, Arundhatinagar on October 31.

In the beginning, the Chief Minister paid floral tribute to the image of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. After this, he witnessed the march past and later read out the pledge of conserving the nation’s unity.

Chief Secretary J. K. Sinha, DGP Amitabh Ranjan and officials of different levels of the administration were also present at the event.

The Chief Minister said, the citizens of the country will always remember Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s contribution in conserving the unity of the nation. He laid his life for the nation’s unity.

The Foundation stone for the construction of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s statue at the meeting point of River Deo of Unakoti district and River Manu was laid. Rs 50 lakh will be spent for this.

He said, there has been a commendable improvement of law and order in the state in 4.5 years. The Police continue to take strict action against crime and illegal activities. There are no terrorist activities in the state in the present time. Tripura Police and central paramilitary forces continue their efforts to prevent terrorist activities in the state.

 According to the Nation Crime Record published in 2021, Tripura stands at the 5th lowest position among 28 states in crime. Crime against women is being dealt with importance presently. 24X7 Help desks have been opened in police stations to provide a women-friendly environment. There are 7 women police stations in the state at present. Another women's police station will be opened in Khowai district. Four highway patrolling vehicles have been started recently to conserve law and order during nighttime. More four patrolling vehicles will be started very soon on the Agartala-Churaibari road.

The Chief Minister said Northeast GDP Summit is going to be held for the first time in the state on November 8 and 9.
